America: it's Roots in Jesus; The ACLU wishes to Destroy

I am for socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.
—ACLU founder Roger Baldwin wrote in his thirtieth anniversary Harvard University classbook
What has this founder to do with today's ACLU?
The American Civil Liberties Union is Roger Baldwin.2
—former ACLU counsel Arthur Garfield Hays
The ACLU was founded by Roger Baldwin, an agnostic and socialist, with acknowledged communist leanings. Two of Baldwin’s closest friends were:
1.) Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood and a firm believer in “selective breeding” and
2.) Emma Goldman, or “Red Emma” as she was called. (Goldman was an advocate of anarchism, radical education, free love, and birth control.)
Baldwin went so far as to call Goldman his “mentor.”
Where does the ACLU get money? Besides from the Government funds in cases againt the USA?
Clipped from "Stop The ACLU" http://www.restoringamerica.org/ACLU/stop_the_american_civil_libertie.htm
Example: In July off 2001 Peter B. Lewis, chairman of The Progressive Corporation and a long time member and donor to the ACLU, donated a record gift of $7 Million dollars to the ACLU endowment fund. Lewis’s gift helped match a $14 million dollar challenge from the FORD Foundation, which had contributed $7 Million dollars to the same fund in June 1999. Then in 2003 Peter Lewis out did himself by making an unprecedented gift of $8 million. The gift was broken down in two parts: $2 million to the ACLU general fund and $6 million to the endowment fund.
Beside the giant Ford Foundation, The ACLU receives large contributions from the Rockefeller, Carnegie, Field, Tides [owned and controlled by Sen. John Kerry’s wife Ketchup Girl] Gill, Arcus, Horizons and others.
The Freedoms you and I enjoy today are a direct result of the "Judeo-Christian Foundation and Morals" instituted into the basis of this Government.
34% of the Founding documents of the United States of America have direct quotes from the Bible of Judeo-Christianity.
90% of the founding documents have parallel concepts to those found inn the Bible of Judeo-Christianity.
But Atheists (the self-professed godless) claim they want no reference to God, anywhere in society, or Government. They want Russia, or China-like government. Move I say.
When the ACLU says that anything Christian is Un-Constitutional, remember, the ACLU doesn't beleive that the Constitution is "Constitutional", simply because it references Jesus Christ. (See Clipped Image at Top)
In the Year of our Lord. That's right, it's a capitol letter L - Lord. and the year referenced refers to the time eleapsed since His Death on the Cross.

After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 of our great state constitutions, we're faced with the fact that the ACLU and the "federal" courts are miss-guided.
I wonder by what, or whom......?
"Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants." -
William Penn

men donothing." - Edmund Burke

not be a time for choosing." -C.S.Lewis
Tim said: "I think you miss the point entirely. It’s not about God, it’s about MEN and their insistence that others worship as they do (i.e., the whole “Christian nation” thing)."
Help me to understand how the Christian Nation thing insists non-Christian's worship Christ?
There is nothing in the presence of a monument that makes a person walking past, or looking upon it worship anything.
There isn't anyone there waiting to see if you "Fail to Bow or Bend your Knee"!
There is precedence in the reference of the monument though. A Historical one.
There is nothing in a founding document referencing divine blessing and Grace from God that forces anyone to worship in any manner.
Tim said: "Personally, I think ALL religions should be allowed in schools, courts, everywhere – but I’ll bet my more right-wing friends would freak out if a Muslim prayer group were allowed in the schools, or a statue of Buddha erected by the courthouse…"
I believe that All religions are allowed in schools, Only Christianity is being stifled. Why? Perhaps because 70% are supposedly Christian, and only recently there was Christian School Prayer forced?
One Example, I have Personal Experience with:
If you look at society today, Muslims are allowed prayer rooms in Corporate America, but the same companies won't allow Christians to schedule a conference room for a Lunch Time Bible Study, even when the room stands vacant.
Does the ACLU drive around this great Nation and look for Muslims, or Buddhists to sue? No.
As for the Statues at the Courthouse, I would understand if there were some historical significance to that town or courthouse related to those and their faith in Mohammed or Buddha making that place/town/court or where their Laws originated and then survive the test of time.
But in fact, Buddha and Mohammed played little if anything in the making of the Laws in this United States.
Just because America's Providential History is rooted in the Judeo-Christian faith that does NOT dictate a State forcing individuals to Worship Jesus of Nazareth, THE Christ.
An analogy: Imagine, the first mass produced car maker, ford, and that ford is having to remove a sculpture of that car, because BMW was upset....
Many of our laws today are taken directly from the Bible. And yet, it's the sole focus of the ACLU to extricate it and every reference in our society.
I once heard that the fall of every Great Empire is followed by it's loss of clear definitions of right and wrong.
You know, Where relativity begins to reign.
But there is a thing called the Law of Non-Contradiction. Hot is not cold..even if you say it is.
I think that C. S. Lewis made the statement that there are two kinds of Truth, mere conventions, and Universal.
Example: Mere convention: Driving on the right side of the
road. It's the TRUTH we do, but it could have easily been the
Left.
Example: Universal Truth: Math. We could not have made it
any other way.
Two Apples added to two apples is always going to be four. You could
define it with different words than two and four, but the physical evidence is
undeniably TRUTH.
Tim made a reference to Deism as what our nations founding fathers were really referring to.
I'm still trying to get my brain around the position proposed that the founding fathers of this great nation were mostly Deists.
I didn't know what a Deist was, so I did some research. According to Wikipedia, the Deism title wasn't even a coined term until 1800's in France. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deist .
Whilst I'm not much of a History scholar, I'm definitely determined to investigate to try to see. My eyes are open.
Now, as I understand it, A Deist is definitely a One-God believer as opposed to a Pantheist or a Polytheistic faith follower.
Point 1.) To the Deist, God is not interactive. Therefore, a Deist never would have Prayed. To a Deist this would be a waste of time. Yes?
The 1st President, General George Washington, [who by the way, was and still is the single most unsuccessful General in American History as battles are measured] was noted on more than one occasion that "he did Pray". So we can certainly remove Him from this "Deists Position / Philosophy". {P.S. His "reign" would never have survived our media coverage today. We'd all be Englishmen}
Point 2.) The Mayflower Compact states that the Pilgrims had undertaken this journey to the northern parts of Virginia “for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith.” Their great desire was to bring the Gospel, the Christian faith, to those who dwelt in the darkness here on this continent.
Point 3.) The United States Constitution was signed by men who chose to put their signatures on a document dated "in the year of our Lord". So, This certainly was not a reference to the Lords/Kings of England. I can only imagine that they spoke of The One True and Risen Lord, Christ Jesus here.
But, the argument could be made that they were not referring to Jesus, but spoke of the Lord God Almighty in Heaven, [An address to God only used by 3 individuals in the Bible a.) Moses, b.) Solomon & c.) Rahab.] Why then in this instance would the years numerical value society acknowledges equate to the number of years since Jesus Death and Resurrection, I can not fathom other than the obvious to my filter of Christ.
But consider what the Name "Lord" entails. It does not infer a non-interactive entity. Lord in the since of our founding Fathers meant someone who Lorded over you, they own the lands you farmed etc....
One of the main reasons the name of Jesus Christ is so offensive to many is because it is concise, it refers to a Historical individual that is proven to have existed. It can't be used (correctly) to mean different things.
The three letters g-o-d however, can be used by anyone to mean everything, and nothing.
I believe that the Founding Fathers as mostly Deists as a position for our great nations history is actually untenable, (not that there weren't some present) but I do believe that those that want Christ removed from all aspects of society today are trying hard to put forth this Deist position.
For them it's a nefarious springboard to discount Christianity by using the modern day ambiguous name 'god'. Not unlike the Pantheists, or Spiritualists that refer to stones or other material objects as such. This fits into the political correctness of today where all can call something different on mutually exclusive "god" and not one be wrong. (Absurd relativism)
Some historical reasons for my position follows:
President John Quincy Adams said this: “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.”
Some notes I've uncovered on Thomas Jefferson, The ACLU's "Foundation for separation of Church and State":
While Jefferson has been lionized by those who seek to drive Christian religion from public life, the true Thomas Jefferson is anything but their friend. He was anything but irreligious, anything but an enemy to Christian faith. Our nation's third president was, in fact, a student of Scripture who attended church regularly, and was an active member of the Anglican Church, where he served on his local vestry. He was married in church, sent his children and a nephew to a Christian school, and gave his money to support many different congregations and Christian causes.
Moreover, his "Notes on Religion," nine documents Jefferson wrote in 1776, are "very orthodox statements about the inspiration of Scripture and Jesus as the Christ," according to Mark Beliles, a Providence Foundation scholar and author of an enlightening essay on Jefferson's religious life.
But didn't Jefferson believe in the complete separation of church and state? After all, Jefferson's 1802 letter to the Baptists in Danbury, Conn., in which he cited the First Amendment's creation of a "wall of separation" between church and state, is an ACLU proof-text for its claim that the First Amendment makes the public square a religion-free zone.
If the ACLU is right, why then, just two days after he sent his letter to the Danbury Baptists did President Jefferson attend public worship services in the U.S. Capitol building, something he did throughout his two terms in office? And why did he authorize the use of the War Office and the Treasury building for church services in Washington, D.C.? Jefferson's outlook on religion and government is more fully revealed in another 1802 letter in which he wrote that he did not want his administration to be a "government without religion," but one that would "strengthen … religious freedom."
Jefferson's presidential acts would, if done today, send the ACLU marching into court. He signed legislation that gave land to Indian missionaries, put chaplains on the government payroll, and provided for the punishment of irreverent soldiers. He also sent Congress an Indian treaty that set aside money for a priest's salary and for the construction of a church
Jefferson dated an official document. Instead of "in the year of our Lord," (Whose Lord?, and Who is this Lord referred to?) Jefferson used the phrase "in the year of our Lord Christ." Christian historian David Barton has the proof – the original document signed by Jefferson on the "eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord Christ, 1804."
The real Thomas Jefferson, it turns out, is the ACLU's worst nightmare.

From John Adams...1754: "It is the duty of the clergy to accommodate their discourses to the times, to preach against such sins as are most prevalent, and recommend such virtues as are most wanted. For example, if exorbitant ambition and venality are predominant, ought they not to warn their hearers against those vices? If public spirit is much wanted, should they not inculcate this great virtue? If the rights and duties of Christian magistrates and subjects are disputed, should they not explain them, show their nature, ends, limitations, and restrictions, how muchsoever it may move the gall of Massachusetts."
269 years ago on January 31, 1737, Duche was born in Philadelphia. He became an Episcopal clergyman. At the outbreak of the American Revolution, he led the opening prayer at the first Continental Congress (1774), giving an impromptu invocation so patriotic and stirring that Congress voted him thanks and later (1776) asked him to become their chaplain.
========================================================
Daniel Webster (1782—1852 ) known as the “Defender of the Constitution”, having tried successfully before the Supreme Court over 150 cases. Some references:
The Pilgrim Society is trying to maintain the real spiritual message of the forefathers. Daniel Webster, one of America's greatest orators of the 19th century, said in 1820 as they celebrated the landing of the Pilgrims:…let us not forget the religious character of our origin. Our fathers were brought hither by their high veneration for the Christian religion. They journeyed by its light; and labored in its hope. They sought to incorporate its principles with the elements of their society, and to diffuse its influence through all their institutions, civil, political, or literary.
1818: The Dartmouth College Case insured forever the independence of all private and charitable institutions.1819: McCullough vs. Maryland defined the limits of State and National power.1824: Gibbon vs. Ogden set the precedents for the establishment of interstate and intrastate commerce which would effect not only the waterways of that era, but later the highways, railroads and airways in our lifetime.
The latter two cases firmly established the Supreme Court as the final interpreter of the Constitution.
Quotes: "Whatever makes men good Christians, makes them good citizens."
"If we work upon marble, it will perish; if we work upon brass, time will efface it; if we rear temples, they will crumble into dust; but if we work upon immortal minds and instill into them just principles, we are then engraving that upon tablets which no time will efface, but will brighten and brighten to all eternity."
“It is wise for us to recur to the history of our ancestors. Those who do not look upon themselves as a link connecting the Past with the Future, do not perform their duty to the world.” Daniel Webster - Plymouth, 1820
This nation was founded in the beliefs and faith of our Founding Fathers, their faith was in Judeo-Christianity. Not Buddha, Not the god of Islam and not some vague hands off higher power.
These are evidenced in the History of this Nation. Why would it be wrong to remember the positive aspects of your nations founding?
Because of today's Moral Relativism, where What I want to do is paramount, (The individual is more important than society, even when what you want is destructive and prohibited by the founding faith sex) and where you and I can say god, and they are relatively the same, yet reference mutually exclusive traits of totally different subject.
